STOP THE SPREAD

A message from School Nurse, Pam Madsen | October 4, 2024

As we enter cold/flu/covid season I thought it was a good time to remind everyone of a few basics way to Stop the Spread of germs!  Attached is a flyer put together by the CDC.  As always our school guidelines are that your child stay home if they have a fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit (must be fever free for 24 hrs without the use of tylenol or ibuprofen); if they are vomiting or have diarrhea; if they have a cough/headache or other symptom that can not be relieved by tylenol or ibuprofen and they can not function in the classroom.  If you send cold medication or other medication to the school for your child-it MUST be in the original package with a prescription label or note from you stating what to give and when.  Please feel free to call the school with any questions!  Thanks for all you do to keep our students and staff safe and healthy!

Tracy Bell recognized for Employee Excellence

Chippey recognized Tracy Bell for all she does every day to keep Whiting CSD running smoothly. Tracy is usually the first face you see as you enter school, and often the last person you see as you leave. Her smile and amazing Warrior spirit help make Whiting an amazing place for all students and staff.

Congratulations and thank you for all you do! We appreciate that you are “Nuts” for Whiting!
